The Magenta Research Mondo III is a professional full-matrix switching and UTP extension platform engineered to route high-definition video, stereo audio, and addressable duplex serial signals within a single integrated system. Designed for large-scale commercial AV installations such as casinos, corporate campuses, and digital signage networks, this modular platform scales from 16x16 to an unprecedented 256x512 switching capacity with field-upgradable input/output increments of 16. The SAP (Serial Addressable Protocol) option enables bi-directional serial communication, allowing operators to collect individual display metrics and maintain independent control over each endpoint—functionality retained even when daisy-chaining MultiView-SAP receivers from a single output. Engineered for mission-critical reliability, the Mondo III features true redundant power supplies, dual fans with replaceable air filters, and a front-panel status dashboard providing at-a-glance monitoring of power supply health, fan operation, filter service intervals, and internal temperature. The system supports video extension up to 2,000 feet (609 meters) over Cat5/6 cable with resolutions up to 1920x1200, and is compatible with all MultiView-SAP transmitters, receivers, and distribution amplifiers. Control flexibility includes onboard backlit LCD with push buttons, Windows HyperTerminal, Magenta's Mondo Matrix Control Software, or third-party systems such as AMX and Crestron via RS-232, RS-422, or USB on SAP versions.
