The Marantz PMD570 is a professional 1RU rackmount solid-state audio recorder designed for permanent installations in broadcast facilities, corporate boardrooms, houses of worship, and lecture halls. Operating as a direct, tapeless replacement for traditional cassette and MiniDisc decks, it captures audio directly to standard CompactFlash (CF) memory cards and Microdrives, completely eliminating mechanical wear and the time-consuming process of ingesting tapes into a computer.

Because permanent AV installations require reliable, set-and-forget archival recording without moving parts or complex interfaces, the PMD570 was engineered to be highly autonomous and easily integrable. It solves the need for automated audio capture by featuring full two-way RS-232C control (allowing it to be managed by AMX/Crestron touch-panel systems) and an instant "One-Touch Record" workflow that ensures non-technical staff can confidently start recording a meeting or sermon without navigating sub-menus.
