Meyer Sound Galileo 616 Loudspeaker Management System

$2,995.00 - $3,495.00

The Meyer Sound Galileo 616 is a high-performance, fully digital matrix processor housed in a compact 2U rack-mount unit, designed as the ideal complement to Meyer Sound's self-powered loudspeakers. It integrates sophisticated signal processing with intuitive computer control via the companion Compass software for Mac and Windows operating systems.

Operating with 96 kHz, 32-bit floating-point resolution, the Galileo 616 offers a wide array of processing tools on both its six inputs and 16 outputs, including extensive equalization, delay, and atmospheric correction filters. Its patented Composite EQ architecture features both TruShaping low-order equalization and complementary phase parametric filters, which allow for precise system correction with minimal impact on phase response. A key feature is its fixed latency across all output channels regardless of processing, ensuring signal integrity. The system can be controlled remotely via an Ethernet connection, even with wireless devices, and provides full bidirectional communication, ensuring the front panel and software displays are always in sync. It is also designed for direct integration with the Meyer Sound SIM 3 audio analyzer for comprehensive measurement and control.

About the Meyer Sound Galileo 616 Loudspeaker Management System

The Meyer Sound Galileo 616 represents a sophisticated and comprehensive loudspeaker management system, engineered to provide precise control and optimization for complex professional audio installations. Functioning as both a system processor and an advanced loudspeaker controller, this unit integrates signal routing, equalization, delay, and limiting functions with the proprietary corrective algorithms developed specifically for matching Meyer Sound loudspeaker arrays. Its core philosophy centers on maintaining signal integrity from input to output, ensuring that the meticulously designed acoustic performance of each loudspeaker is delivered accurately in the field. The system is built to serve as the central nervous system for permanent installations in demanding environments such as performing arts centers, houses of worship, stadiums, and broadcast facilities, where consistent, predictable, and high-fidelity sound reinforcement is non-negotiable.

At the heart of the Galileo 616 is its powerful digital signal processing (DSP) engine, which offers extensive configuration capabilities across its sixteen input and sixteen output channels. The processor provides user-definable signal paths, allowing for intricate matrixing to feed multiple loudspeaker zones from a single audio source with independent processing for each output. Each channel is equipped with parametric and graphic EQ, precise time alignment delays, crossover filters, and dynamics processing. A key differentiator is the integrated library of loudspeaker preset data, which includes factory-derived settings that automatically configure the optimal processing for specific Meyer Sound models, dramatically simplifying system tuning and ensuring that each loudspeaker performs as intended by its designers.

The platform is designed for intuitive operation and robust system integration, featuring multiple control interfaces for setup, monitoring, and real-time adjustment. Users can access the system via the front-panel display and encoder, or through dedicated remote control software running on a connected computer, enabling detailed system overview and control from anywhere on the network. The unit supports various digital and analog audio formats and includes comprehensive redundancy features, such as automatic failover and power supply backup, which are critical for mission-critical applications where system failure is not an option. With its combination of transparent sonic performance, deep loudspeaker-specific optimization, and resilient, network-ready architecture, the Galileo 616 establishes the reference standard for managing and delivering pristine, controlled audio in the world's most technically ambitious venues.
