Description

The Microframe SMPTE Time Code Sync Master mini (Model D8009) is both a master smpte time-code generator and a smpte time-code display for video frame time stamping. It requires no wireless signal or continuous tethered connection - it simply syncs and stays synced. The Sync Master is the industry’s first and most affordable SMPTE time-code generator and display reference contained in a pocket-sized form factor. The Microframe Time Code Sync Master Mini (Model D8009) is a highly compact, pocket-sized SMPTE time-code generator and LED display designed for multi-camera video production and double-system sound recording. Acting as a lightweight "lockit box," it allows camera and sound departments to generate, jam-sync, and hold highly accurate timecode throughout a shooting day without relying on fragile wireless transmissions or continuous cable tethers.

Because cameras and audio recorders naturally drift out of sync over time due to slight variations in their internal clocks, the D8009 relies on temperature-compensated crystal-controlled circuitry. Once jammed to a master timecode source in the morning, the D8009 can be mounted directly to a DSLR or cinema camera to feed continuous timecode via BNC, or handed to a script supervisor who can use the bright LED display to meticulously log timecode notes.
