About the Neutrik NE8FF RJ45 EtherCON Feedthrough Coupler

The Neutrik NE8FF is a rugged, heavy-duty inline feedthrough coupler designed to securely join two RJ45 or etherCON network cables together to extend data runs for live audio, lighting, and video over IP networks.

Because standard plastic RJ45 ethernet connectors are notoriously fragile and prone to having their plastic retaining clips snapped off on busy stages, touring AV professionals rely on armored etherCON cables. However, you cannot simply plug two male etherCON cables together when a single cable falls short of its destination. The NE8FF solves this by providing a robust, diecast metal barrel with locking female etherCON receptacles on both ends, allowing technicians to seamlessly extend Dante audio, Art-Net lighting, or video signals without sacrificing the physical security of the armored connection.
