The Neutrik TOP etherCON to RJ45 Cable is a ruggedized Ethernet connectivity solution designed for professional audio, video, lighting, broadcast, and other demanding network applications. Based on Neutrik’s etherCON TOP platform, it provides a mechanically protected and lockable interface around a conventional RJ45 connection, helping prevent accidental cable disconnection and protecting the RJ45 plug from physical damage during installation, transportation, and operation.

The TOP design is engineered for outdoor and harsh-environment applications, incorporating a robust zinc-diecast shell, strain-relief construction, and environmental sealing. When properly mated with a compatible TOP receptacle, the connection achieves IP65 protection, providing resistance against dust and water ingress. The system is also designed for reliable operation across a broad temperature range, making it suitable for touring equipment, temporary installations, stage infrastructure, outdoor AV systems, and fixed professional networking installations.

The retractable-shell design allows the underlying RJ45 plug to connect with standard RJ45 receptacles while retaining the mechanical advantages of the etherCON locking system. Depending on the specific TOP cable-connector variant, the assembly can accommodate compatible RJ45 plugs and Ethernet cabling within the specified cable diameter range.
