Oben BD-02 Mini Ball Head

The Oben BD-02 Mini Ball Head is a compact, low-profile mounting head designed for tabletop tripods and lightweight camera-support applications. Constructed from sturdy aluminum, it combines a small footprint with a 3 kg load capacity, making it suitable for mounting compact cameras, mirrorless cameras, LED lights, microphones, monitors, and other lightweight production accessories. Its wide mounting platform provides additional support and stability for attached equipment.

The BD-02 uses a single-action locking knob that controls both ball movement and panning, allowing the mounted equipment to be repositioned quickly before securing it in place. A dedicated 90° notch permits the camera or accessory to be tilted into portrait orientation, while the ball mechanism provides a practical range of positioning for tabletop and compact support applications.

The mounting system incorporates a 1/4"-20 male camera screw and a 3/8"-16 threaded base socket. A supplied 1/4"-20 to 3/8"-16 reducer bushing provides compatibility with supports using either common mounting thread size, making the head suitable as a replacement or upgrade for compatible tabletop tripod systems. The design does not use a quick-release plate, favoring a simple direct-mount configuration for compact equipment.

With a weight of approximately 68 g and a height of approximately 56 mm, the BD-02 is optimized for portable setups where minimizing size and weight is important. Its 360° panning capability and 90° vertical tilt make it useful for photography, video production, podcasting, interviews, tabletop shooting, and accessory mounting applications where precise orientation and straightforward mechanical adjustment are required.
