About the On-Stage DPT4000 Percussion Tray with Soft Case
The On-Stage DPT4000 is a professional percussion tray designed to keep hand percussion instruments and accessories organized and within easy reach during performances and practice sessions. The tray measures 18 inches by 10 inches, providing ample workspace for shakers, mallets, tambourines, and other handheld instruments. A foam-padded platform serves dual purposes: it dampens noise when placing instruments during quiet performance moments and helps keep items from sliding around during play. The tray features a 1-inch front lip and a 3-inch rear lip, containing instruments securely on the surface without obstructing access.
Instrument mounting flexibility is a key strength of the DPT4000. Two integrated mounting brackets accept percussion rods of 8.5 to 10.5 millimeters in diameter, allowing cowbells, woodblocks, or other mountable percussion instruments to be positioned directly on the tray for instant playability. Two swiveling hooks underneath the tray swing out to hold hangable items such as tambourines, cables, or headphones, maximizing the utility of the workspace. Handle-rests on two sides of the tray enable quick grabbing of sticks, mallets, and handheld instruments without reaching into the tray's interior.
Mounting versatility ensures the DPT4000 adapts to virtually any stage or studio configuration. An integrated 5/8"-27 female threaded socket allows screwing onto any standard microphone stand. Alternatively, built-in adjustable clamps can attach to sturdy posts ranging from 16 to 38 millimeters in diameter, including hi-hat stands, speaker stands, drum-kit hardware, and other stands. The tray has a weight capacity of 25 pounds, though users should not exceed the weight limit of the supporting stand.
For efficient setup and teardown, the DPT4000 includes a custom-fit soft case that stores and transports the tray with instruments still arranged on it—eliminating the need for a separate instrument bag. The case features carry handles, a shoulder strap for comfortable transport, and a zippered pocket for holding tools and supplies. Constructed from durable steel, the tray is built for the rigors of gigging musicians and touring percussionists while remaining lightweight enough for everyday use.
