About the On-Stage Gear SSA100 Speaker Stand Skirt

The On-Stage Gear SSA100 Speaker Stand Skirt is a professional accessory designed to conceal and protect the base of a speaker stand, providing a clean, finished appearance for stage setups, permanent installations, and event productions. Constructed from durable, heavy-duty black fabric—typically a polyester or scrim material—the skirt wraps around the tripod legs or column of a speaker stand, hiding unsightly hardware, cables, and the stand's base from audience view. This not only enhances the visual professionalism of the stage or presentation area but also helps to direct attention toward the speakers and performers rather than the supporting equipment. The skirt is an essential element in corporate events, houses of worship, theaters, and concert venues where aesthetics are as important as audio quality.

The design of the SSA100 focuses on ease of use and versatility. It often features a Velcro or hook-and-loop closure system, allowing it to be quickly installed or removed without tools. The fabric is cut and sewn to fit standard speaker stand dimensions, with a tapered or cylindrical shape that accommodates most common tripod and column-style stands. Some models include a weighted bottom hem or internal pockets for sandbags to improve stability in windy conditions or to prevent the skirt from billowing due to air movement from subwoofers. The material is also chosen for its ability to resist wrinkles and maintain its shape throughout an event.

Beyond aesthetics, the speaker stand skirt offers practical benefits. It can help prevent accidental tripping over stand legs by making the base more visible as a solid unit, and it protects cables routed near the stand from being kicked or damaged. As part of On-Stage's comprehensive line of support gear, the SSA100 exemplifies the attention to detail that transforms a functional audio setup into a polished, professional production. It is a simple yet effective tool for integrators, rental companies, and production crews seeking to deliver a complete and visually cohesive presentation.
