Opteka CXS-300 Dual Grip Video Shoulder Stabilizer System for DSLR Cameras

The Opteka CXS-300 Dual Grip Video Shoulder Stabilizer System is a heavy-duty, entry-level camera rig designed to dramatically improve the ergonomics and stability of shooting handheld video with a DSLR or compact camcorder. Because the small form factor of modern digital cameras makes them prone to micro-jitters and rolling shutter artifacts when held by bare hands, the CXS-300 transfers the weight of the camera rig directly to the operator's shoulder and provides two widely spaced front handgrips. This transforms the camera into an extension of the body, allowing for much smoother, cinematic panning and tilting.

Built entirely around an industry-standard 15mm rod system, the CXS-300 is highly modular. The baseplate, shoulder pad, and dual grips can all be loosened via thumbscrews and slid along the aluminum rails to achieve the perfect balance point for the operator's specific body type and camera payload. Furthermore, because it utilizes standard 15mm rods spaced 60mm apart, it acts as a foundational skeleton for building out a professional cinema rig—allowing users to easily attach third-party matte boxes, follow focus systems, or articulating friction arms for external field monitors and audio recorders.
