Panasonic AK-HRP200G Remote Operation Panel

$0.00 -

The Panasonic AK-HRP200 Remote Operation Panel is used for controlling a compatible studio handy camera and a camera controller unit like the AK-HCU200. This compact, lightweight, joystick-type ROP provides precise, rapid, and comprehensive control of the compatible cameras’ powerful capabilities. It can be used to control up to 19 cameras via an IP or serial connection. The ROP can also be used to set up and control Panasonic PTZ cameras such as the AW-HE120 via IP. Scene files, user files, and lens files can be stored on and retrieved from SD memory cards (not included) at both the controller unit and ROP. The ROP can be connected to the camera control unit via an ROP serial cable (e.g., ROP-50M, sold separately) up to a distance of 164’ (50m). The connection between the camera and a CCU is established via a dedicated optical fiber cable (sold separately).

About the Panasonic AK-HRP200G Remote Operation Panel

The Panasonic AK-HRP200G is a dedicated remote control panel designed to provide extended operational control for select Panasonic professional broadcast cameras, such as those in the AK-HC series (e.g., AK-HC3500, AK-HC2500). It serves as a critical interface for camera operators, engineers, or directors situated away from the camera body itself, such as in a production control room or at a separate operator station. The panel replicates and expands upon key camera functions, offering precise, centralized adjustment of critical parameters including lens control (zoom, focus, iris), paint settings (black level, gamma, color matrix), and operational modes. This enables fine-tuning of the camera's image and operational behavior without the need for physical access to the camera or its built-in control panel, streamlining workflows in studio, OB truck, and fixed-installation environments.

The unit features a comprehensive layout with dedicated knobs, switches, and buttons for immediate access to the most frequently adjusted settings. Key areas include a full three-channel (RGB) paint control section with knobs for master black, gamma, and detail, a lens control section with rocker switches for zoom and focus speed, and an assignable joystick for menu navigation or iris control. Multiple user-assignable buttons allow operators to customize the panel for quick access to specific functions or preset recalls. The panel connects to the camera via a single coaxial cable using Panasonic's proprietary Remote Operation System, ensuring stable, long-distance control with minimal latency, which is essential for real-time camera adjustment during live productions.

Constructed with a robust metal chassis and designed for continuous professional use, the AK-HRP200G is built to withstand the demands of a broadcast environment. Its ergonomic design and logical grouping of controls allow for efficient operation, reducing fatigue during long productions. By externalizing complex camera setup and diagnostic functions, this remote panel enhances operational flexibility, allows for more precise image matching in multi-camera setups, and improves overall production efficiency. It is an essential component for any broadcast operation utilizing compatible Panasonic cameras where centralized, granular camera control is required.
