Petrol Professional Video Harness

The Petrol Deca Heavy Duty Audio Harness (Model PS605) is a professional, vest-style wearable support system designed for production sound mixers and mobile electronic newsgathering (ENG) audio crews. Serving as a crucial ergonomic upgrade over standard single-shoulder straps, it is engineered to securely carry heavily loaded audio bags containing multitrack field recorders, large mixers, and multiple wireless microphone receivers.

Because carrying a fully loaded professional audio bag on a single shoulder strap for a 12-hour shooting day rapidly leads to severe shoulder fatigue, spinal compression, and chronic back injuries, field mixers require a support system that distributes the mass across the entire torso. The Petrol PS605 solves this by utilizing a rigid, thickly padded harness framework that shifts the heavy payload (up to 88 pounds) off the neck and effectively transfers it evenly across the shoulders and lumbar region. This allows the sound recordist to maintain a healthy posture and operate their mixer faders with both hands completely free while following the camera operator across rough terrain.
