About the Polycom Real Presence Trio Visual+ Conference Accessory

The Polycom (now Poly) RealPresence Trio Visual+ is a dedicated hardware accessory designed to pair seamlessly with Polycom Trio 8800 and Trio 8500 smart conference phones, instantly transforming them from high-end audio devices into comprehensive video conferencing and content-sharing hubs.

Because standard conference phones only handle audio, organizations looking to upgrade small huddle rooms or medium conference spaces into full multimedia collaboration environments are traditionally forced to purchase entirely separate, expensive video codecs. The Trio Visual+ solves this by acting as a networked bridge. It mounts discreetly behind the room's display, connects to a USB web camera, and pairs wirelessly over the network to the Trio on the table. This allows users to control the entire video meeting, camera pan/tilt, and content sharing directly from the Trio's familiar touchscreen interface without running a massive bundle of cables across the floor.
