About the Polycom Trio Visual+ Accessory 1

The Polycom Trio Visual+ is a compact, network-attached accessory designed to transform a Polycom RealPresence Trio (specifically the Trio 8800 or 8500) from a high-end audio conference phone into a complete video conferencing and content-sharing system. Rather than running thick HDMI and USB cables across the boardroom table to the phone itself, the Visual+ unit is designed to be mounted directly behind the room's television display, communicating with the Trio phone securely over the local area network.

Once paired with the Trio conference phone via IP, the Visual+ acts as the audiovisual hub for the front of the room. It features an HDMI output to drive the main display and a USB port to accept standard UVC-compliant webcams (such as the Poly EagleEye Mini or Logitech C930e). Because it is powered entirely via Power over Ethernet (PoE), installation is incredibly clean, requiring only a single Cat5e or Cat6 network cable to provide both data and power.
