About the QSC 3100 Enterprise System Platform

The QSC 3100 Enterprise System Platform is a powerful, modular hardware platform designed to serve as the central processing and control engine for large-scale, integrated audio, video, and control systems in demanding commercial and institutional environments. It forms the core of Q-SYS ecosystems deployed in venues such as performing arts centers, convention centers, stadiums, corporate campuses, and houses of worship. The platform combines high-performance, multi-core DSP (Digital Signal Processing) with an Intel-based computing core to handle real-time audio mixing, routing, processing, and complex system control logic simultaneously within a single, unified architecture.

A key strength of the 3100 platform is its massive scalability and I/O flexibility. It supports a wide range of native I/O cards for analog and digital audio, as well as extensive expansion via Q-LAN, the proprietary audio-over-IP network, allowing it to manage thousands of audio channels across a facility. Beyond audio, it can process and route video (including HDMI), execute sophisticated control scripts for third-party devices (lighting, blinds, projectors), and host custom user control interfaces. Management and design are performed through the intuitive Q-SYS Designer software, which uses a drag-and-drop interface to create complete system designs.

Housed in a robust, redundant 2RU or 3RU chassis, the 3100 platform is built for 24/7 mission-critical reliability, featuring hot-swappable power supplies and fans. By unifying audio, video, and control into a single, software-defined platform, the QSC 3100 provides system integrators with an extremely powerful and flexible tool to design, deploy, and manage the most complex AV systems.
