The QSC Q-SYS Core 500i Integrated System Processor was a robust and flexible integrated audio, video, and control system for a wide range of installed AV applications. It was a central processing unit (CPU) for the Q-SYS ecosystem, designed for venues such as auditoriums, large conference rooms, hospitality spaces, and stadiums. The Core 500i offered a powerful, IT-centric approach to AV processing, running on standard Intel microprocessors and a customized Linux operating system. It was capable of directly accommodating eight Q-SYS I/O cards, providing onboard channel capacity and allowing for further expansion with additional Q-SYS peripherals. This product has been discontinued and superseded by newer Q-SYS Core processors.
