About the Retekess PR13 FM Reciever

The Retekess PR13 is an ultra-compact, portable FM radio receiver designed primarily for bulk use in simultaneous translation, guided tours, and drive-in events (like church services or outdoor movies). Unlike standard portable radios that include a built-in speaker, the PR13 operates strictly as a personal listening device; it requires the user to plug in a set of earphones via the 3.5mm jack, which also acts as the FM antenna to pull in the signal.

To ensure clear audio in crowded RF environments, it utilizes an internal DSP (Digital Signal Processing) chip that actively filters out static and locks onto the broadcast frequency. Because these units are often handed out to attendees who may accidentally bump the buttons while the device is in their pocket, the PR13 features a physical lock switch on the side. This completely disables the front keypad, ensuring the user stays locked onto the correct translation or tour guide channel without requiring technical assistance.
