The RME Digiface Dante 256-Channel Dante to MADI Audio Interface with USB is a portable, high-channel-count USB 3.0 device that efficiently bridges Dante and MADI network audio systems, delivering low-latency performance and extensive routing capabilities.  The Digiface Dante is a lightweight, mobile audio interface that combines the popular Dante Audio-over-IP protocol with RME's renowned USB 3.0 technology and MADI connectivity. It offers up to 128 input and 128 output channels (64 each for Dante and MADI) at sample rates up to 192 kHz, all manageable via a single USB 3.0 connection to a Mac or Windows computer. The unit features RME's powerful TotalMix FX mixer software, which provides unlimited routing and mixing options with zero latency, as well as remote control capabilities via TotalMix Remote. The device can also function in a standalone mode as a 64-channel Dante-to-MADI converter, and its four RJ45 Ethernet ports can act as a network switch or provide redundant network operation for enhanced reliability.  Read more

Dante is an audio over IP protocol by Audinate. The Digiface Dante is a USB 3.0 from/to Dante interface, adding an external and fully mobile option to the internally used Dante PCIe card. Digiface Dante uses RME's matured MADIface Series driver for Windows and macOS, with lowest latency and industry leading stability. Equipped with the latest TotalMix FX it can not only route, but also mix as many independent submixes as outputs are available. The included high quality phones output offers a quick listen to any audio channel, but can also be used as line output to provide an additional analog stereo mixdown. Equipped with the largest Dante module 64 channel can be sent and received via network.
