The Robe ColorSpot 1200 AT is a high-output, professional moving head spotlight designed as a creative workhorse for large-scale theatrical productions, television studios, live concert tours, and major venue installations. It is built around a powerful 1200W short arc discharge lamp (typically the Philips MSR 1200 SA) which pairs with a highly efficient optical train to rank it among the brightest automated fixtures of its generation. The fixture offers exceptionally comprehensive beam manipulation tools, including a versatile CMY color mixing system, a continuous variable Color Temperature Orange (CTO) filter for progressive shifts from 5600K down to 3200K, and an additional multi-slot fixed color wheel.

For intricate visual effects, the moving head features two separate gobo wheels housing a total of 12 rotating, indexable, and replaceable dichroic glass gobos that combine to offer up to 48 unique texture variations. Its mechanical suite is rounded out by an incredibly flexible 13 to 42-degree linear motorized zoom, a remote motorized focus mechanism, an independent iris, a variable frost filter, and four rotating prisms. Control and programming are executed seamlessly using the onboard Robe Navigation System (RNS) with a graphic LCD screen, supporting standard USITT DMX-512 data, 16-bit pan/tilt resolution, and a built-in Ethernet port for direct Art-Net protocol network integration.
