Roland XI-DANTE Dante Expansion Interface

The Roland XI-DANTE is an expansion interface card designed to add Audinate's Dante digital audio networking capability to compatible Roland professional audio equipment, such as digital mixing consoles (e.g., M-400 series) and audio interfaces. This card integrates the console or device into a standards-based Dante network, enabling the transmission and reception of hundreds of channels of high-quality, low-latency digital audio over a standard Ethernet network. By installing this card, users can seamlessly connect their Roland system to a wide ecosystem of Dante-enabled devices, including stage boxes, amplifiers, recording systems, and other manufacturers' consoles, using simple Cat-5e/Cat-6 cabling. This replaces point-to-point analog or proprietary digital cabling with a flexible, scalable, and easily reconfigurable audio-over-IP infrastructure.

Once integrated, the XI-DANTE card allows the Roland console to send its mixed outputs and receive inputs from anywhere on the Dante network. This enables powerful workflows, such as using a Dante stage box for remote microphone preamps, sending separate mix feeds to Dante-equipped amplifiers or recorders across a venue, or sharing audio with a broadcast truck or another console. The network is managed via Audinate's Dante Controller software, which provides a visual patchbay for routing audio channels between any devices on the network. The audio is transmitted with extremely low latency and high fidelity, supporting sample rates up to 96kHz.
