About the Samson Powerbrite PB9 Power Conditioner (BROKEN LAMP)

The Samson Powerbrite PB9 is a 1U rack-mountable power conditioner and distribution unit designed to protect sensitive studio, live sound, and DJ equipment from unpredictable electrical surges. Beyond simply providing multiple places to plug in your gear, it acts as the first line of defense for a rack system, taking raw, often noisy wall power and filtering it before it can reach expensive amplifiers or digital audio processors.

Because venues and older buildings frequently suffer from dirty power that can introduce audible hums or pops into an audio system, the PB9 features dedicated EMI and RFI filtration. This actively scrubs electromagnetic and radio frequency interference from the AC line, ensuring a lower noise floor for your audio gear. To accommodate high-draw equipment, the unit is rated for a 15-amp total load and features a resettable front-panel circuit breaker, saving you from having to hunt down a tripped breaker panel in a dark venue.
