About the Sanyo LNS-W05 Zoom Projector Lens F/2.0-2.6

The Sanyo LNS-W05 is a motorized wide-angle (short-throw) zoom lens designed specifically for Sanyo’s heavy-duty, large-venue interchangeable lens projectors. When a venue requires a massive image but lacks the physical depth to place the projector far back in the room—such as in a shallow rear-projection booth, a crowded trade show floor, or a tight theatrical stage rig—the LNS-W05 allows the projector to be mounted much closer to the screen while still filling the entire canvas.

Because it is a wide zoom rather than a fixed wide-angle prime lens, it provides AV integrators with crucial physical flexibility. If the overhead rigging truss or ceiling mount cannot be placed at the exact mathematical sweet spot, the lens’s optical zoom allows the technician to dial in the framing perfectly without having to physically unbolt and move the heavy projector chassis.
