Description
The Schneider Optics Round 102mm True-Pol Filter is a professional-grade circular polarizer engineered to provide superior glare reduction and color saturation for demanding photography, cinematography, and broadcast applications. Featuring an exceptional extinction ratio of ER 374, this filter is 12 times more effective than standard polarizing filters, making it unmatched in its ability to reduce unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as glass and water while deepening blue skies and improving overall image contrast. The True-Pol construction laminates advanced polarizing film between two pieces of Schneider's crystal-clear, water-white optical glass, protected by a unique Edge Seal that prevents edge-chipping and delamination while reducing edge-reflections and flare. Designed specifically for cameras with complex optical blocks or those requiring circular rather than linear polarizers, this 102mm circular filter prevents viewfinder blackout and cross-polarization issues common with standard polarizers on modern autofocus and high-definition cameras. The filter incorporates a two-layer design where the first layer provides the polarizing effect and the second layer features a 1/4-wave retarder plate to effectively eliminate cross-polarization in beam-splitter viewing systems. Precision-polished to the highest optical flatness standards, this filter maintains exceptional clarity and sharpness while delivering approximately 1.6 stops of light reduction. The included Schneider soft pouch provides secure storage and safe transport between productions. Read more
