A workhorse mic that can handle a wide variety of studio and live tasks, the Sennheiser MD 421 KOMPAKT Microphone features the same cardioid, dynamic mic element from the original 421 popularized by the recording and broadcast industry, but housed in a smaller, more compact chassis with an updated mounting clip that makes it easier to position, especially on drum kits. The smaller size also gives the mic a lower profile for podcasting applications. This configuration includes the MZH drum clamp, allowing you to attach the mic directly to the rim of your snares and toms.
