The SHAPE Relocator Extension Cable (Model C52RE) is a purpose-built control cable designed specifically for the Canon EOS C500 Mark II and C300 Mark III cinema cameras. When camera operators transition from tripod shooting to a shoulder-mounted rig, they typically remove the camera's factory side handgrip and mount it to a front extension arm for better ergonomics. Because the stock handgrip cable is far too short to reach the camera body from the front of a shoulder rig, this extension bridges the gap while retaining full electronic control over record start/stop, iris adjustments, and joystick menu navigation.

While the connectors visually resemble a standard headphone jack, the cable utilizes proprietary data wiring. Standard, off-the-shelf 3.5mm audio auxiliary cables lack the necessary internal data connections and will fail to pass the control signals to the camera body.
