This integrated solution allows the microphone to deliver its full, rich sound character when connected directly to a wider range of audio interfaces, recorders, or mixers that may not have sufficient preamplification on their own. It retains all the sonic characteristics of the SM7B, including a smooth, flat, wide-range frequency response and effective electromagnetic hum rejection.

The microphone features the same versatile onboard controls as the SM7B, including a bass roll-off switch and a presence boost switch, allowing vocalists, podcasters, and broadcasters to tailor the tone directly at the source.
