SKAARHOJ Rack Fly Trio 72 Programmable Four-Way Buttons

The SKAARHOJ Rack Fly Trio is a professional, high-density rack-mounted control panel designed for broadcast, live production, studio, outside-broadcast, flypack, and AV control environments. The unit provides 72 programmable four-way buttons, with every button incorporating a customizable OLED display and RGB color feedback. This architecture allows operators to assign routing, switching, auxiliary, device-control, and other production functions while receiving immediate visual feedback from the control surface.

The four-way button arrangement provides multiple directional control actions from each physical control, making the panel suitable for complex workflows requiring a large number of functions within a compact rack footprint. The individual 64 x 32-pixel OLED tiles can display customizable legends and status information, while RGB illumination can be used to distinguish sources, destinations, operating states, or functional groups. The system is intended for universal control and can interface with a broad range of supported third-party broadcast and AV devices.

The RACK-FLY-TRIO-V1B version incorporates SKAARHOJ's Blue Pill architecture directly into the controller, providing an integrated processing and control platform rather than requiring a separate Blue Pill unit. The platform uses Reactor, Device Cores, and skaarOS Linux, with full Reactor and Device Core licenses included. Network connectivity is provided through 1G Ethernet with Power over Ethernet support, while a Micro USB service interface can be used for manual IP configuration.

The Rack Fly Trio is housed in a compact 2U, 19-inch rack-mountable chassis measuring 483 x 88 x 46 mm and weighing approximately 842 g. It can operate from a 12 V DC power supply or compatible PoE infrastructure, with specified power consumption of 12.6 W. The controller is designed and manufactured in Denmark and is supplied with a 12 V power adapter, making it a practical high-capacity control surface for professional production systems where extensive customizable operator control is required.
