Skaarhoj TALLY-LIGHT-SOLO-V2 Tally Light for Tally Box System

The SKAARHOJ TALLY-LIGHT-SOLO-V2 is a professional compact tally light designed for use with the SKAARHOJ Tally Box System in broadcast, live production, studio, corporate AV, and multi-camera environments. It provides clear visual status information to both the camera operator and presenter, using separate LED indicators for program and preview conditions. The system is intended to make camera status immediately visible in situations where built-in camera tally indicators may be difficult to see or are obstructed by accessories such as teleprompters.

The unit incorporates two independent LED indicators. A large red main LED faces the presenter or viewer and indicates when the associated camera is on program. A smaller operator-facing LED provides both red program and green preview indication, allowing the camera operator to monitor the camera's status without looking away from the shooting position. Two integrated switches provide local control, including on/off control for the main LED and adjustable dimming of the operator LED for comfortable operation in low-light environments.

Connectivity is provided through RJ45 interfaces using Cat cable, with power delivered through the Tally Box System. The Tally Light can be connected directly to the Tally Box or incorporated into a daisy-chain arrangement with additional tally lamps. The current SKAARHOJ documentation specifies support for up to eight tally lamps per Tally Link and daisy chaining of up to three lamps, providing flexibility for multi-camera installations while minimizing dedicated cabling.

The TALLY-LIGHT-SOLO-V2 uses a compact camera-mountable housing with a cold-shoe/accessory-shoe mounting interface, making it practical for installation directly on compatible camera systems. Its 55 x 44 x 27 mm dimensions and 96 g product weight allow it to remain unobtrusive while providing highly visible tally information. The unit is manufactured in Denmark and is intended as a dedicated tally lamp rather than a standalone network controller; a compatible SKAARHOJ Tally Box or Tally Link system is required for system operation.
