Description

Mount two Mac minis in a 1U rackmount enclosure with the RackMac mini Rackmount Enclosure from Sonnet. This version of the RackMac mini is designed to fit Mac mini models made from mid 2011 to 2020, including Intel and Apple M1 models, and has been designed to meet the cooling needs of the 2018 and 2020 6-core Mac mini. Capable of installing two Mac minis side by side into 1U of rack space, the RackMac mini boasts a front panel with two integrated power buttons and two USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 ports, one for each Mac mini system. The back of the RackMac mini is open, allowing for access to cables and ports, while cable tie holes let you secure power cords and other cables. About the Sonnet Technologies RackMac Mini - 1U Rack Kit for 2 Mac Minis

The Sonnet Technologies RackMac mini is a heavy-duty 1U rackmount enclosure designed to securely install one or two Apple Mac mini computers into a standard 19-inch IT, broadcast, or AV equipment rack. Rather than simply resting these sleek desktop computers on an open rack shelf—which leaves them vulnerable to sliding around, overheating, or having their cables accidentally pulled out—the RackMac mini locks them into a protective steel chassis tailored exactly to their physical footprint.

Because the Mac mini features its primary power button and all I/O ports on the rear of the machine, mounting it in a densely packed server rack makes it incredibly frustrating to turn on or plug in a simple thumb drive. Sonnet engineered a hardware workaround for this, integrating push-button actuators and USB passthrough cables directly into the front faceplate of the rack.
