Description

The SDI/HDMI Bidirectional Video Converter from Theatrixx Technologies is designed to be used while on the road. It features an integrated power supply with a locking powerCON connector and a built-in 120V outlet to power a nearby projector, TV, or laptop. There is an SDI input, two SDI outputs, a locking HDMI input, and a locking HDMI output. This converter has an SDI input priority. The Theatrixx Technologies SDI/HDMI Bidirectional Video Converter is a rugged broadcast-grade signal conversion solution from the xVision Converter Series, purpose-built for live events, broadcast facilities, rental companies, houses of worship, and professional AV installations. Unlike conventional one-way converters, this unit automatically detects the incoming signal and performs bidirectional conversion between 3G/HD/SD-SDI and HDMI, eliminating manual switching or configuration during deployment.

Designed specifically for road use, the converter integrates an internal power supply with a locking PowerCON connector, removing the need for external power adapters while improving reliability in mission-critical environments. Locking HDMI connectivity, reclocked SDI outputs, clear front-panel status indicators, and multiple mounting options make it well suited for touring racks, flypacks, presentation systems, and permanent AV installations.

The converter supports 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SD-SDI formats with embedded audio and automatically prioritizes the SDI input whenever both SDI and HDMI sources are connected.
