The Theatrixx XVVRF8 is a 3RU rackmount chassis purpose-built to house up to 8-Theatrixx Reversible Converter modules, providing a professional, high-density solution for video conversion, distribution, and signal processing in rental, touring, broadcast, and permanent installation environments. The frame eliminates the unprofessional practice of using wall-wart power supplies and Velcro-mounted converters by centralizing multiple modules into a single, rugged rack unit with dual oversized power supplies configured for automatic hot backup switch-over. Front-panel LEDs indicate the status of each power supply, while dual locking Neutrik powerCON True1 mains connectors ensure secure AC input. The chassis accepts a wide range of modules including SDI, HDMI, Fiber optic, HDBaseT, distribution amplifiers, audio embedders, de-embedders, and IP streaming servers, making the system future-proof as new module types become available.

Designed for maximum deployment flexibility, the XVVRF8 allows each module to be inserted in either direction, giving technicians the choice to position input/output connectors at the front or rear of the rack depending on cabling requirements. All conversion modules are fully self-enclosed with no exposed PCBs, protecting against electrostatic discharge, dust, and physical wear. Gold-plated redundant spring pins with magnetic retention deliver DC power directly to the modules, eliminating internal cabling and power strips while ensuring modules remain securely powered even with the front door open. The shallow 178mm depth allows placement behind processors, scalers, or other deep-chassis devices to maximize usable rack space. The XVVRF8 ships as an empty frame, requiring separate purchase of modules to populate the eight slots.
