About the Theatrixx XVVRM-HDBT2HDMI Reversible Module - HDBaseT1.0 to HDMI1.4
The Theatrixx XVVRM-HDBT2HDMI is a professional HDBaseT 1.0 to HDMI 1.4 receiver module engineered exclusively for the Theatrixx XVVRF8 8-Bay Reversible Rackmount Frame. This module accepts an HDBaseT signal input via a shielded Neutrik EtherCON RJ45 connector, decodes the transmission, and outputs HDMI 1.4 video through a locking HDMI Type A connector, eliminating accidental disconnection during live events. The HDBaseT 1.0 standard supports uncompressed, latency-free video transmission with HDCP 1.4 compliance, making this module ideal for conference rooms, broadcast studios, live event production, and permanent AV installations requiring reliable long-distance signal extension over standard CAT6a cabling up to 100 meters. An auxiliary 1 Gbps Ethernet port on Neutrik EtherCON provides 100 Mbps pass-through connectivity over the HDBaseT link, enabling networked device control or LAN extension without additional cabling.
Designed for demanding rental, touring, and mission-critical environments, the module features a fully enclosed, self-contained chassis with no exposed PCBs, protecting sensitive electronics against electrostatic discharge, dust ingress, physical impact, and general wear. The reversible architecture allows technicians to insert the module in either direction within the 3RU XVVRF8 frame, positioning the EtherCON input, Ethernet port, and locking HDMI output at the front or rear of the rack to accommodate facility cabling layouts without requiring custom cables. All power is delivered via gold-plated redundant spring pins with magnetic retention, eliminating messy internal power cabling and external power bricks while ensuring the module remains securely powered and seated even during transportation or vibration-heavy operation. The module draws 20W of 12 V DC power directly from the XVVRF8 frame's dual redundant power supplies, with hot-swappable backup ensuring uninterrupted conversion during power supply failure. Theatrixx Technologies designs and assembles these modules in Canada, prioritizing rugged construction, signal integrity, and professional-grade performance for HDBaseT extension applications.
