The Tripp Lite B126-1A1 is a two-piece, active HDMI over Cat5e/Cat6 extender kit designed to push high-definition video and audio signals far beyond the strict 50-foot distance limitation of standard HDMI cables. Used frequently in digital signage setups, house of worship IMAG (image magnification), and corporate conference rooms, it consists of a box-style transmitter and a receiver that work in tandem to pass A/V data over a single run of standard networking cable.

By utilizing 24 AWG solid-wire Cat5e or Cat6 cabling, this active kit can successfully push a 1080p (60Hz) signal up to 150 feet, or a 1080i signal up to 200 feet. The transmitter features a local HDMI loop-out port so an AV technician can monitor the video feed at the source, while the remote receiver unit features a built-in rotary equalization dial to manually fine-tune the image sharpness and compensate for signal degradation over longer cable runs.
