About the TVone 1T-CT-422 CAT.5 RGBHV Transmitter/Receiver

The tvONE 1T-CT-422 is the receiver half of an active RGBHV (VGA) over Cat.5/Cat.5e extension system, designed to be paired with a compatible transmitter like the 1T-CT-421. Before the industry shifted entirely to digital HDMI and DisplayPort, this unit was a staple in classrooms, control rooms, and legacy corporate environments for pushing analog PC video over long distances using standard twisted-pair networking cable, eliminating the need to pull thick, rigid VGA cables through walls and conduits.

Because analog video signals naturally attenuate and lose high-frequency data (causing the image to look blurry or smeared) over long cable runs, the 1T-CT-422 features manual adjustment dials. By tweaking the Gain and Equalization (EQ) settings on the box, an AV technician can compensate for the signal loss and restore the image's brightness and sharpness right at the display end.
