The Videotek VDA-16 is a professional 1x6 composite video distribution amplifier designed for broadcast, television production, post-production, and professional AV installations. About the Videotek VDA-16 Amplifiers

The Videotek VDA-16 is a broadcast-quality analog composite video distribution amplifier. Designed to take a single baseband video source and cleanly split it into six identical, isolated outputs, it was a foundational staple in legacy television studios, VHS duplication houses, and analog CCTV security networks.

Because analog video naturally suffers from high-frequency roll-off (which softens the image) and voltage drops (which darkens the image) over long runs of coaxial cable, the VDA-16 features recessed front-panel trimmers for Gain and Equalization (EQ). This allows a broadcast engineer to manually boost the video level and sharpen the picture to ensure all six downstream destinations receive a mathematically perfect 1-volt peak-to-peak signal. Its physical footprint is specifically designed to be 1/3-rack width, allowing up to three of these units (or their audio counterpart, the ADA-16) to be mounted side-by-side in a single 1U rack tray.
