About the Vocas #0350-1000 Shoulder Baseplate for Sony PMW-F5 & F55 Camera w/ Vocas #0350-1010 Dovetail Plate

The Vocas 0350-1000 is a dedicated 15mm shoulder baseplate system engineered specifically to transform the Sony PMW-F5 and PMW-F55 into balanced, shoulder-mounted cinematic rigs. Because these specific Sony cinema cameras feature a modular, block-like form factor, resting them directly on an operator's shoulder is inherently front-heavy and uncomfortable. This baseplate solves that physical imbalance by contouring exactly to the bottom of the camera chassis and providing a highly adjustable center of gravity.

By integrating standard 15mm rods and a quick-release tripod mechanism, it allows an operator to build out a full cinema package (with matte boxes and wireless transmitters) and instantly transition from a locked-off tripod shot to a handheld run-and-gun setup without tools.
