Z CAM E2-S6G S35 6K Cinema Camera with Global Shutter

The Z CAM E2-S6G is a professional Super 35 cinema camera featuring a true global-shutter CMOS sensor designed to eliminate the rolling-shutter skew and distortion associated with rapidly moving subjects and camera motion. It captures up to 6K resolution and provides approximately 14 stops of dynamic range, making it suitable for cinema production, commercial work, action cinematography, virtual production, and other demanding applications where accurate motion reproduction is important. The standard configuration uses a Canon EF mount, with optional interchangeable M, MFT, PL, and LPL mount accessories available.

The camera supports 6K recording in multiple aspect ratios, including Open Gate, DCI, UHD, and 2.4:1 formats. Maximum recording rates reach 30 fps in 6K Open Gate, 50 fps in 6K 2.4:1, 56 fps in 4K DCI/UHD, and 70 fps in 4K 2.4:1 and Full HD. Recording formats include ProRes 4:2:2, ProRes 4:2:2 HQ, H.265, H.264, and ZRAW, with ZRAW providing high-quality RAW acquisition for workflows requiring extensive post-production control.

The E2-S6G provides a native ISO of 1250 with a manual ISO range from 1250 to 20000, while shutter operation can be controlled through either shutter speed or shutter angle. Its electronic global shutter operates from 1/10000 to 1 second or 1° to 360°, providing precise exposure control for cinematic production. The camera also incorporates manual, automatic, and continuous autofocus modes, along with configurable Rec.709, Z-Log2, FLAT, HLG, Concert, and Vivid image profiles.

Connectivity includes HDMI 2.0 output, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C, LANC control, multiple LEMO interfaces, and CFast 2.0 internal recording. The camera includes a built-in stereo microphone and supports 16-bit, 48 kHz audio. Its compact aluminum body measures approximately 122.25 x 99.25 x 91.2 mm and weighs approximately 1.09 kg without a lens, providing a relatively compact platform for professional cinema rigs and specialized production systems.
