The Crestron DM-RMC-200-C is a high-performance DigitalMedia 8G+ receiver and room controller engineered to function as the central hub for a complete in-room AV experience. Designed for discreet installation directly behind a flat-panel display, this versatile device combines multiple critical functions into a single, compact unit. It serves as a multi-format digital media receiver, a high-quality video scaler, a multi-channel audio extractor, and a powerful control interface for local devices. By receiving shielded twisted pair or fiber optic input from a DM 8G+ switcher or transmitter, it delivers pristine, uncompressed video up to 1080p to the connected display. The integrated scaling engine ensures any source resolution is perfectly optimized for the native resolution of the screen. Beyond video, the DM-RMC-200-C features a built-in 30-watt digital amplifier, allowing for direct connection of in-wall or in-ceiling speakers to provide room-filling sound without the need for an external amp. Its extensive device control capabilities, including infrared, RS-232, CEC, and Ethernet, enable seamless management of the display and other local equipment. For interactive applications, it also supports USB HID signal routing, allowing for a local keyboard and mouse to control a remote source PC.
