The Extron SW2 HD 4K is a two-input HDMI switcher engineered to provide reliable signal switching for professional AV environments requiring high-resolution video distribution. Designed to switch between two HDMI source devices to a single display, this compact unit supports computer and video signals up to 4K with 4:4:4 chroma sampling at 8-bit color and data rates up to 10.2 Gbps, with support for HDMI features including Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, Lip Sync, and HD lossless audio formats. The switcher incorporates Extron's exclusive EDID Minder technology, which automatically manages EDID communication between connected devices to ensure sources power up correctly and maintain proper video output. Automatic input cable equalization compensates for signal loss when using long input cables, maintaining signal integrity up to 50 feet when used with Extron HDMI Pro Series cable. Housed in a compact metal enclosure, the SW2 HD 4K offers multiple control methods including front panel selection, RS-232, IR, contact closure with tally output, and auto-input switching that automatically selects the highest-numbered active input. LED indicators provide immediate visual confirmation of signal presence and HDCP authentication for each input and output, while the output provides +5 VDC, 250 mA power for peripheral devices such as cable equalizers. Included with this switcher is the Extron IPA T RLY4 IP Link accessory, a compact device featuring four independent relays for controlling room functions such as screens, projectors, lights, and security gates. This accessory works as an add-on to any IP Link product with Flex I/O ports or can be used as a freestanding device, providing normally open and normally closed relay outputs rated at 24 V, 1 A.
